TRIAC Mill Spindle Project

2010

So, finally got around and got the spindle housing done. My lathe was not big enough so I had to let a firm do it for me. A cool dude at the workshop did the work beautifully according to my drawings in 7075 aluminium, which is a bit harder than other kinds.

I still got to do the screw-holes though as I tried to keep the cost down. A bit scary doing the treading in bottom holes on a piece that you DONT want to break the tap in...

The axis on its bearings fit perfectly.

More speed, more power, more movement, more coolant, more light..
